I have Metzeler ME880 front and ME888 rear....great tires and performs well....not too sure about tire life.

Thanks, I keep thinking of doing your DK customs clutch plate, but I dont wanna mess with it just yet.
I also noted with my new compression gauge that it hit ~120psi on the first compression cycle, 150 on 2nd, and ~180 on 3rd on both cylinders.
Is that normal? seems a bit high, as I posted before I have a bit of carbon build up, but 180 with that amount of carbon... maybe higher compression heads/piston???????

Be careful when you first ride it in the spring, you may forget about the oily mold release residue on the new tires.

Indeed. I just had a new tyre installed and the dealer (my local Yamaha one!) stamped my reciept with a warning about taking care for the first 100 miles. Check pressure at that time too, as new tyres can 'settle'.
