i really like the xl883 the nightster and the 50th anniversary sporty. the 50 could become a real collectors item worth having but might it to much for a new rider? i hear its not very forgiving of mistakes and is roadster fast. ill probably get one of the other two on the list. oh well ill decide soon enough

I think the Nightster is a little easier to ride then our 1200 Custom. I've never rode an 883, I wouldn't think there would much difference between the 1200 & 883 besides power.

Get which ever one you like. A 1200 is not gonna jump out from under you compared to an 883. 50th a collectors item? I doubt it.

Ahhhh... if only we could foretell the future... I would have got those winning lottery numbers and wouldn't even be responding to this thread... I'd be in the Bahamas, on my yacht with a few 20 year olds basking in the sun...[8D]

Either one would do you well. Personally I prefer the 50th Anniversary model. The Nightster is neat but I still don't know how you would buff out a scratch or blemish in the paint!!

I dont think the nightster comes in 883. I was t the dealer the other day checking out a new bike while I was getting the oil changed and the sales guy said it only comes in the 1200. Its still a nice bike either way, and am really considering one and chopping it into a bobber and saving my 100 yr anniversary as my good ol stock Harley.

I'm a big fan of the XL 883. I had mine for 6 months and then put the 1200 conversion in it. Nothing is too fast if you respect it. I'd suggest that you get the one that you like the best.
