Default 04 883 XLC won't start

Had a great Memorial Day ride until I started my way back home. When I went to turn on the bike it wouldn't start. I just heard a faint clicking sound. Luckily my friends helped me push start the bike. Bike ran great as usual. Has this happened to anybody else? Could it be a bad relay or bard starter? Any advice would help. Thanks.

The usual, check your battery and its connections both ends for corrosion, check your battery voltage, and your charging sytem if the battery is still good and the connections.
