TTS: Throttle Blip Test
#21
It's not.. I think you are confusing TPS and MAP..
I personally don't understand what is going on.. The pic with the flat topped map, has a greater increase in RPM than pointy one.. One thing to note is that the throttle blip event is really only one sample wide in the pointy pic and the pic with the flattop is 2 samples wide.. I've identified sample rate and RPM..
I really don't see any significance other than the throttle seemed to be held open longer in the flat topped pic and the RPM is a little higher..

If it's a PV thing then talk to Steve Cole about it.. You'll get a nice lecture on data monitoring packets..

Indeed I thought that was a really useful thread Steve did, should have been a sticky ...just a thought. It was a very good insight into the sensors and such.

My example? No, I've not altered the AE or DE tables from the DJ supplied map, which are the same as my stock map backup.
Don't sweat it on my account, I know you guys are busy. I'm still playing/learning and was just looking to what I might learn extra from Wiz's blip test. I'm not getting any noticeable hesitation and no pops or farts on the overrun so hadn't looked at the AE/DE yet
TTS says to use the IVO value on the upturn of the graph, or possibly the setting just before that. I just thought it was interesting that my crap attempt at a blip test may support that advice ...but this is only one bike, and one cam so others experience may obviously differ.
