I just saw that Sleepy Hollow burned down last night. A cool stop, hope they rebuild

 

Is this the place that had just reopened about a year ago???

 

Thanks for letting us know. I haven't been there in over 6 months. It'll be interesting in finding out the cause of the fire.

 

I've been there a few times in the past. It was OK, not all that exciting. It seems that this place has opened and closed and opened again, been bought and sold a time or two I think (if you can go by what you hear) and all due to money issues. It's a shame that it burned down but I'm not surprised. Hope no one was hurt.

 

The latest owner has done a good job with it and has a following. Hate to see a local watering hole burn down though and arson is suspected as I hear from locals today. Rumors are a guy got 86'd and said he would come back and burn it down. Not long after, it was on fire. A shame, I would go out there on occasion for a cold one and listen to the band on the weekend

 

Dang...we went there in the Spring and enjoyed it.

 

It said in the paper today that arson is suspected. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

 

That's too bad. We liked to ride up there for the $6.95 steak and potato plate.

 

I saw it this weekend. The place is a fun stop during the day of riding. I enjoyed the place. It is still open as the stage and one of the bars survived, but they will only have beer at the moment and are working on getting a food truck to help with the food part.

The latest we got from the owner was that they had about 25 to 30 people in the place when it was set on fire and the police supposedly have a person in mind for the crime. They also did not have insurance on the building, but plan to rebuild on their own dime.
My wife and I were thinking that they should create a warehouse type of building, mush like the Full Throttle Saloon near Crystal Harley.
I love riding in that area, some nice little roads and just fun area.

 

Or the owner fell on hard financial times and saw an opportunity to recoup his losses?
