My name is Leslie. I'm a single mom from Tampa with five grown children. Next year I will be turning 50 in April and I wanted to do something out of the ordinary for this milestone birthday and step out of my comfort zone. I want to ride the tail of the dragon. The only problem is I don't ride or own a motorcycle or know anyone who owns one. Actually I've only been on a motorcycle for about 10 minutes when I was 8 years old. So I'm in need of your assistance, I was looking for someone who is an experienced rider, has been on the tail of the dragon and would be willing to have me ride along on this epic road. Along with me, I will be bringing my brother's ashes. He loved Harley-Davidsons but was never able to ride one because he had cerebral palsy. He did get to ride in a sidecar one time and it was the best day of his life. He never stopped grinning. He passed away at 38 and I want to give him one last ride. The rider I'm looking for, I would prefer to be a single person because I don't want to step on anybody's toes or cause any issues. If you are this rider or know of an MC that does this sort of thing I would really like to hear from you. Thank you for your time and help.

You might be able to meet this goal by working with rider(s) that are based in that area.

i suggest contacting Smokey Mountain Harley Davidson in Maryville, TN. They are the closest to the TOTD and have an active HOG chapter as well as other groups.

Check with the Harley dealerships in Maryville and Knoxville. I remember one or both of them renting Harleys. You will have to contact them to see what requirements they have for renting you one of their bikes.

Try getting in touch with the folks at "West Coast Florida Riders" on face book. They do rides to the Dragon a few times a year and might be able to help

Yeah, there are some very cliquey groups within especially the "inner circle" but they must have something going on what with about 9,000 members.
