I had the pleasure of cHarley showing me route 28 to Franklin. A.K.A. the "Baby Dragon", that piece of road was well described by FL Crew "Bob" who calmly stated that they built that road with bulldozer following a snake.
cHarley was so kind that day.....He stopped and waited for me every mile or so so that I could catch up. He KNOWS that road (and many others) up there. cHarley gave me private lessons on the Dragon some years ago and I have never forgotten what I learned. Note to self- NEVER try to out-run cHarley in the mountains.
