Default Hammock with pass/backrest problem.

I recently acquired a hammock seat for my EG and I am finally getting used to it. With the tour pak on the bike the seat fits perfectly. Today I took the TP off and tried to install my passenger sissy bar with backrest. To my surprise it wouldn't fit because the rear of the seat pan is too wide!
Has anyone come across this problem and is there a fix?

Amazing! I just took the seat off then installed the sissy bar, put the seat in position and sort of forced it down. There are a few rub spots between the passenger portion of the seat and the sissy bar that I'm expecting to rub through in time.

Do you have the right year seat to fit your bike ? They kept changing them . A 14 seat is different than a 13 and prior .

I have a 13 and prior on a 2010 EG classic.

I have the same setup and you do have to squish the seat in between the uprights. I don't know if I'd call it normal but mine is the same on an 09 FLHX.

I have that seat on my 07 road king, it does contact the sissy bar, I cut a couple of pieces of pieces of a black mouse pad and put between the seat and bar. You don't notice it unless you look closely.

Not sure about the new frames, but for my 08, there were different height passenger backrests offered. Buddy has an 08 RG, and the short one fit the stock seat fine, but when he put a Electra Glide seat on, it would not fit right. Ended up getting a taller backrest.
