Default What am I doing wrong?

I purchased the HD valve stem extension gizmo to make life a little easier to check my rear tire. For the life of me I can't get the thing to work. If I screw it on tight air come from the stem if I loosen it I get a bad reading. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I exchanged mine because issues with the valve stem/core on one end of the extension, it wouldn't compress the tire valve stem to check air or service tire pressure. I'd check it out on a bicycle tire to see what the problem is, that way you won't deflate the motorcycle tire.

I was going to buy that, but many reviews said they didn't work. Maybe it is faulty.

Get your money back and put in an angled steel valve stem next tire change.

like drukanfu said, just get a 90 degree valve stem installed the next time you put a new tire on. One suggestion, make sure you tell them to turn it towards the right side of the bike, that way when the bike is on its kickstand its easy to get to.

Avoid the rubber stemmed ones! We had one on our Glide's rear wheel and the darned thing split while on tour. What we thought was a puncture proved to be a major nightmare and delay, getting recovered and back on the road.
