Collector Modification

good idea or waste of time?
thinking this might help it not sound like "pooh"..........
I will be cleaning the collector better before final assembly

1 1\2 OD pipe with one end stretched to about 1 5\8 OD

Thanks
Ed

I know O2 sensor cross talk is a debatable issue but a short extension should rule it out it. Does it have to be as long as the one you show to separate the flow?

Just clean up the rest of the cat, weld & you're ready to go. Depending on any other mods you may need a tune.

I did almost the exact same mod with my stock exhaust except I used a flat piece to eliminate cross talk. I had good results, not a waste of time at all.

I like it Ed...Awesome, please let us know how it sounds. I'm considering a divider plate like Zeke says and have read it creates the H pipe effect.

I would just cut the cat out and reweld it up. not sure you will gain any sound there but if you do the rest of us will steal that idea! lol
