The extra oil capacity should help with cooling up to a point.
There are other ways with keeping the heat down.
Or do you have other ideas for it's use.

For normal riding I would be concerned about dragging or being too low to the ground, speed bumps?

the cost is no-starter for me.

consider the ext. capacity oil pan for my Chev TH350 tranny (in chrome with drain plug) from moroso cost under $100.

yes more oil is good- and that is part of the reason for adding an oil cooler....almost considered adding a 2nd cooler more for capacity.

Yes have the SE +1.5 quart oilpan on a 2014 SGS 120R. And one JAGG fan-assisted oil cooler. Keeps max oilbag temp to 227F.

Do you really think it's necessary or is this just another ploy to get your hard earned cash??? I've been riding Harley's in Florida for years, I've not had any issues. Why bother.

I have it on my 12 CVO Road Glide with a 120R.

Oil takes longer to get up to temp but once at temp does not run any hotter or cooler than before (approx 235 degrees )

Does not hang below the frame so no clearance issues however you can not run a oil temp gauge without getting creative.

I put my oil temp gauge sending unit inline to my oil cooler to measure the oil temp before it comes out of the cooler similar to how the temp gauges were mounted on the 03 / 04 models.

Seems to work fine, however i only use it as a reference for temp as i also pick up the head temp from my PV.

If i was making the decision again today about buying the pan. I would not purchase As it adds little value and only causes oil changes to cost more

My opinion

I like the idea and almost bought one, but decided for less than half that price to go with the H-D oil cooler.
