Default Point cover?

I haven't made it up here to the big boys yet I'm still on a sporty. but my dad has a 94 flhtc ultra glide. I am making myself a new points cover and he really likes it and wants one for his bike. my issue is on his bike it appears to be riveted. is this normal? is it even a points cover on his bike lol?

It has an inner and outer cover. the outer cover has the rivets that fits over the inner that has screws. Inside is a contraband compartment. LOL! No points and condenser anymore.

You have to carefully drill through the head of each rivet with a 1/8" drill bit. I use a hand-turned hand drill, not an electric one, as the rivets are very thin and don't require much effort to remove. To refit you can simply use screws through both the outer and inner cover, however the inner screws are at 90 degrees to the rivets. rwhisen's bike has probably already had that done to it.

For future reference we have an Evo section, where you can meet fellow Evo owners, who are well up to speed on these older bikes!
