With the RUB that you are looking at, you will have bottoming out issues and to avoid that you will have to increase the air pressure in your shocks. Not a very good trade off. You have several options. First and foremost I would recommend a good pair of logger style boots such as Chippewa. They have a higher heel and thicker sole that give you added height, not to mention great road grip. Another option is getting a custom seat or having your seat modified. I would advise against the HD Reach seat. IMO it is a very uncomfortable seat.

I'm 5'6" and had my 06 Ultralowered 1" front and back. This worked for me. I had a 95 Ultra which i tried lowering 2 times. the move to 2.5" lower rear didn't work; it dragged to much. The95 started about an 1" higher than the 06. A pair of thick soled boots helps, the HD brand work pretty good, but are so heavy when walking around.
Check the air pressure in your forks and shocks. a lot of times it's set higher than you need. iweight about 180 and can do fine with about 5 psi in the shocks, and no suspension problems.

BOL.

You might want to check out the Mean City Cycles ad on this forum. He can lower your seat and actually make it more comfortable. Lot's of people are having 2" removed and find it more comfortable. Great price too.

C&C makes a nice seat that will lower you close to 2"...i have a solo brand new with pillon for sale cheap if you want...or you could hang upside down for awhile from a swingset or somethin

I think this forum is mature enough to talk about RUB's, just don't call their bikes SCOOTERS.....[sm=lildevil.gif]

I'm 5'6" and the mod by Allen at Mean City Cycles made a lot of difference, plus he added memory foam which gives me the lowest, most comfortable seat available.

Call Allen and tell him what you want done -- he can do it, and it won't cost you a fortune. Very reasonable.

What was said about the boots will help too, so do both.

Good luck.

H-D has seats available for the vertically challenged...**** on it, for short people... not sure how comfy. They are called the "Reach" seats and start on page 407 of the catalog.
Part # 52544-05A fits '97 and later FLHT.
