Default brake pads

It is that time that the brake pads need replacing. I want to do this myself so I am looking for the best pad available. I noticed that the moco's pads are running around $60 a pair. Are these the best to use? I won't mind spending the cash if I know that there is no better pad or deal to be had. What say you all?

I had been using lyndall pads for the past few years. I started when I had a RK classic, cleaning the brake dust was a PITA.

Last year, I needed brakes and went to the dealer, I am happy with the brembo pads (OEM) and have a set on order for my 2012 X.

I recently changed the pads on my Ultra and went with Hawk Performance pads. So far so good after only a few hundred miles and they were only $29.95 per caliper vs. $60.00. I wasn't necessarily going for the cheap price but after doing some research I found nothing but good reviews on the Hawks. Time will tell. The bike brakes fine with the new pads.

My '11 RKC front pads were replaced around 18K miles at front tire replace time with stock pads. They still had some life, but what the heck. Dust has not been much problem, and no squeal.
BTW I am mostly a front brake user, unless the need arises for both. Rears still look fine. I may be game to try something different for price sometime in the future, but as for overall performance, all is well with the stock pads at this point.
