Just got my first HD. I love it!!!! Added a few things to make it my own... I fabricated some screens for the inlets. I really like the look. Easy to do...
Hi Mcfling
I like the screens you have fabricate. By any chance, do you have a template you can scan and put it here in PDF?
I do not. The dealership asked if I would do that for them. When i get back over there I can do that. The fairing has to be off to get it trimmed and placed properly. This is screen that I use on the inlets of race car I am building. With the fairing off, it is very easy to see where to trim the screen. I marked it with a sharpey and then I cut away, making sure I had it oversized and then trimmed as needed. The same screens can be purchased via Klock Werks for around $80... http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/k...FVFefgod3ekKaQ They also have a YouTube on how to place them...
did you clear over the decal, if not, how well do you think they will hold up to bugs and cleaner
I have not cleared the decal. I have contacted the company to see if they can provide me with the reverse image. i would then place that and have the image now in place painted on by a local pinstripper. As it is, I don't believe it will hold up too well to heavy cleaning. I just wanted to see how I liked it for future painting...
They don't call them sharks for nothing . When you get good you can pick off birds and squirrels with those vent holes. When you get really good you can catch rabbits but that's more about timing and catching them on the bounce .
Obviously an amateur I keep a sharp fork next to my vent so I do not need to catch them on the bounce!
