Default primary leak

2005 ultra
adjusted the clutch this past weekend , primary oil did not seem to be at the bottom of the basket , so I added a few ounces to bring it to the bottom of the basket , now the bike has drops of primary fluid hitting the ground , cover for the clutch is dry , drain plug dry , cover for the chain dry , primary cover dry , could I have over filled the primary ? the drips are on the bottom of the engine look to be dripping off the engine oil drain plug , I use atf in there and the leak is red so I know it is atf , new ip seal and bearing last year ,, never had a leak before the add of the extra oil .

thanks mike

Look at stator plug at front of primary. Usually where they leak.

If it is the stator grommet (and that is a likely assumption) here's a repair you can perform that is much easier than replacing the stator...

When going the RTV route, be sure the area is surgically clean before applying any RTV.
