Anyone reuse HD slip on clamp when swapping mufflers?
Know it says we're supposed to replace them every install, but I'm putting on my American Custom Bombers on my new RK and the clamps they sent just dont look half as robust as the stock clamp. I'd rather keep the old one if I can. Anyone get leaks or have issues with doing this?

check the old ones are round- the Torca clamps are made to deform when torqued.
torque spec is about 38 ft lbs.
on a new set of clamps I start at about 32 ft lbs- if they seal I leave there...if they don't seal I snug up a pound at a time and heat cycle.
the next use I add a couple of pounds- this way I can get a few uses
( but i also keep a new set of clamps in a drawer)
if muffler or header pipes get out of round, you can reform them with dies and bucks from harbor freight or stop by a muffler shop.
trying to seal 2 "egged" pipes is useless
