Samson Rolled Thunder Oval Slip ons

RE: Samson Rolled Thunder Oval Slip ons
I covered the discoloration with a heat shield from a stock exhaust system. I think it was off a Heritage. If you look at the bikes in the showroom you can find the right size heat sheild & maybe get a tech to give you one off one of the hundreds of takeoff exhausts they have stored in the back..

Does anybody know what kind of slip-ons these are? I love the sound, but they drag coming out of parking lots...

RE: Samson Rolled Thunder Oval Slip ons
I'm really satisfied with look and sound. I too read the posts about the discoloring of some but I guess time will tell. As far as decel popping, that can happen with any pipes I think. I know I've read on here where some with the V&H also get decel popping. I imagine I'll probably end up dynoing it but I really don't mind the popping that bad as long as it's not hurting anything. It mainly does it if have the rpm's high when I down shift. I'll get a little fluttering and a few pops. We probably need more input from someone who's had their Samson's for awhile. I've only had mine on for a couple of weeks.

I just responded to your email, but will post here too...
just had my bike dyno-tuned (to get rid of the hesitation with the PCIII), and still have popping on decel with the samson rolled thunders... nothing bad, I am used to it now. must be the nature of these pipes I think. doesn't bother be anymore.

I've got them on mine and like them very much good sound and tuned pipes. Have a new exhaust system coming soon so my slip on rolled thunder miter cuts will be for sale PM if interested no discoloration. These will be cheaper priced than the other listings above and have only been on for about 5k miles.
