Bit the bullet and purchased the 5 year mechanical and 6 year tire warranties.

I have put 30,000 miles on in the first two years and don't plan on changing in the future. Figure by the time the bike has 105,000 miles on it I will have gotten my monies worth.

I NEVER buy the warranty, but with a week to go until the factory warranty goes out and just having the dealership replace the compensator (after having shimmed it in the past) I decided to do it.

This guy (I actually worked with the lady in the office) could not have been any easier to work with.

I think I got a good deal....
