Yeah your 20" is more than enough, will make it easy to work with and you can hide the excess.
What is the difference in the twist grip sensors? Longer?

No; both are plenty long. The CVO TGS that we are recommending doesn't have the green plug. It's slated for '13 and under but it works fine. One should be aware that the connections on this are backwards when applied to '14-up. The male/female ends have to be reversed on the TGS. It's worth it, as that green plug has potential to cause a lot of issues, it can get damaged easily when running wires in new bars, and it can fail. I'd rather not have a susceptible connection inside the bars where I can't get to it without a lot of trouble.

So I don't want the sensor with the green plug?

Correct. I mean, you CAN use it, it'll work fine with some close attention to install; the general consensus is that it's better to not have to worry about it at all. Don't feel like you're doing something wrong using a TGS with the green plug, it's just that between the two, the CVO TGS is a better choice overall.

Of course this issue is only an issue depending on what bars you're using, whether it's a smooth bend or the "peaks" and sharp angles that are popular; whether you're running other wires through the bars as well (like heated grips, for example: that was a nightmare)

OK. This might be a stupid question but what is the difference between the stock sensor and the 32305-08A?

well, I went back and looked, you have a 2011 SG, whether its a 96 or 103, both TGS are the same. You do have a unit with the green plug, near as I can tell.

also, I gave you the wrong part number.. hahaha... 32305-08A is the stock TGS

32310-08 is the CVO TGS that Ive been talking about..

So, those are the differences between the two TGS'
Im very sorry about that mixup. So, NO, it wasnt a stupid question.... I was like, "wait, what?" and went to check again.

Lol no big deal! So I can use my stock sensor since it has the green connector? I was thinking if that is the case I can just tape the connector up real good to keep it in tact while I push/pull wires through.

I cut that green plug out and just soldered another 8-10 inches to make it longer. I defiantly was not going to use that green plug because of all the horror stories and was not about to pay additional 80 to 100 bucks for that other one.

^^^^^This^^^^^
No need to spend $100 unless you just want to. Cut the green plug out and add on the amount of wire you need. My TGS is custom made by me from the sensor all the way to the plug. I cut off everything and used new wire from one end to the other. This of course was after I tried to make the green plug go through the bars and failed.

yeah, you can totally use your stock... I did the same, taped it up real good, the first time I did my bars. just go easy on it and be careful not to pull on those particular wires very hard.
