2012 flhtcu, looking for a smaller option for the passenger foot rests , i like the 5" but the mounts are different. mine does not have the male fitting mount. is there a different mount i can use?

You would need the stock style brackets that are used on the Street Glide.

 

You can order mounts for a Street Glide or Road Glide of same year should work. 50500403A Is the mini footboard mount on HD site. That might work for you.

 

check with the passenger- my Wife found that with floorboards her feet would slide on the boards and the backs of her legs would hit the crash bars.

swapping to the SG pegs, she could hook her heels on them and her feet stayed in place better- more relaxing.

and better for me too, I use to whack the backs of my legs on the floorboards duckpaddling in the driveway
