And I was so proud of myself figuring out how to put 400 songs on a thumb drive................LMAO

I keep my 6.5 on shuffle, but occasionally it hangs up on 1 song and just repeats the same song.
I flip over to the FM tuner and then back to Media and all is well..........for awhile

 

Hello everybody, I just wanted to keep this updated for the next person who has this problem.

I'm starting to see the radio stop working intermittently as some of you have described, a few times now for no apparent reason I'll turn on the bike, and I think it always plays at least one song, but then never plays anything else. It says its reading, even after I remove the USB drive, but it won't work after that until I turn off the bike. When I turn it back on it seems to work fine, so far.

On a related note I did try getting my phone to work again with no success. It came up right away saying it was reading but nothing happened so I gave up and switched back to my USB drive? Can anyone confirm that it does work with the ios 9.3+ and/ or an iphone 6s+ maybe there is a conflict with my phone specifically?

 

So I figured I would update thus, if we get enough people together with the same issues eventually we can figured out what's going on... And possibly even fix it.

Anyway as other people have mentioned I have continued to have problems with the radio from time. I've got my USB stick I leave in the bike and normally, after a considerable delay it will start playing music. Sometimes it just says reading though and never starts playing, occasionally it would play one song and stop though. Either way if it didn't work the next time I turn it's usually fine.

Yesterday it wouldn't play so I turned it off but then I couldn't get the radio to turn on at all. I went back to the dealer and they reinstalled what looked like the same firmware it ready had but everything was working again except my USB drive, which I never did get working again. (Although it does work on another bike)

HOWEVER just for the hell of it I tried plugging in my phone again and it started playing almost immediately. I only used it for 10 or 15 minutes after that but it's never worked before so hopefully I can continue to use my phone and I won't care about the USB drive!

 

Thought I should add there was an IOS update for my iPhone recently but I'm not sure if it is a factor or not. I believe the music player may have been open in the background as well (rather than relying on it to startup on it's own) but I wasn't really paying attention since I didn't expect it to work.

That said I took the bike to work this morning and almost immediately after the radio was done with its startup procedure the music started playing. The phone was plugged in when I turned the bike off last and I made sure to have it plugged in again before I turned it on, I also had music playing through the phone before I turned on the bike.

It shouldn't be that difficult but if it works reliably this way it's better than suffering with the radio.

 

go to dealer and try both on a showroom bike. If you have the same problems then its your devices.
