I have a thumb drive see the listing below when I put the drive into my boom radio all of the albums show and play with the exception of 1 which is called some of my favorites there are 48 songs in the folder and only 18 show on the boom radio. I created to playlists one called Shear heart Attack and the other called my favorites. They both show up on the radio as playlist, but with a Triangle symbol with a dot in the middle. I can open the playlist but it shows no songs. If i go to albums Shear Heart Attack is there and works, some of my favorites shows up as unnamed album and only shows 18 of the 48 songs.
I ran Playlist creator from the thumb drive that did not work. I deleted the playlist and tried recreating them using my hard drive and sending them to the thumb drive.
They are all MP3 that was the first thing I checked. Some of the files were m4a and I thought that was the problem, so I converted those to MP3.
It works fine in my car stereo just not the boom. I tried it on a friends Street Glide Deluxe and the same thing.
I've tried moving everything off the thumb drive and putting the folders back one at a time and it is only that one folder that doesn't want to work.
Since I'm not getting very many responses the next step is I'm going to put the original 18 in a new folder than add 1 file at a time to see if it is one file causing this issue.
try doing a factory reset. It worked for me. I believe the software develops a glitch and the factory reset puts everything back into the right place. Kinda like a defrag on a computer.
I had that issue a couple times, but I just deleted folder and songs and then reinstalled them on thumb drive.
Also, Turn ignition off and back on first, and let the thumb drive finish reading before you scroll thru thumb drive.
