I would bet 5 bucks that there is a bad electron in the system. The quick fix that has worked for me is the system reset. The bummer is that u have to go back in after the reset and re-customize your settings like Nav prompts, fade, bass, treb, AVC, etc.
Make sure u unplug everything from the sled when doing this.
