Miniature 3157
I recently purchased the lay down taillight lens for my King and noticed with the stock 3157 bulb the center of the lens looks like it is beginning to melt. I purchased a LED bulbbut it is no where close to being as bright asthe stock bulb. I know I can purchase theLED taillight assembly but do not wan't to go that route. Is there a miniature or low profile white 3157 bulb out there anywhere? I've spent hours researching and can't find one. Thanks in advance for all the inputs.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I bought a smoked lens off ebay. Put a red bulb in it and it melted the lens cover.[:@]I took a second red bulb from the package (the one that melted the lens boke when I removed it from the lens) to the auto store, held it up to the LED one, and it was shorter. It wasn't as bright, but I did something different. Since the lens was ruined, I drilled a hole in it and attached a die into it. The die is red, and with the LED bulb, it glows red, brightly, when I apply the brake. Unless I decide to spend the money on a new lens, I will keep it this way. Besides, kind of goes with my theme. I am a dice dealer at a casino.

RE: Miniature 3157
Thanks guys. I didn't really want to spend money on a new lens. Definately something different, and that is whatI wanted. My original thoughts were to add a blue dot. I have seen that you can buy them, drill a hole out , and install it. Once I had the hole drilled, I thought to myself, why not add a die. I also installed one on the dash bolt. Next, will be to add a few to my sfirt linkage and then drill a couple holes in my horn cover. Whenever I find some free time.
