Default Is a new brake line junction needed when....

I am currently gathering parts to install 16" Carlini Gangster Apes on my Road King. and I was told that I have to make sure the replacement lines included the built in junction box or manifold that bolts underneath the trees. Is this accurate? I looked at magnum's lines and I dont see the built in manifold. any thoughts?

Thanks,

Rich-

If you have ABS the line runs from the master cylinder to the ABS module

If you don't have ABS then the line runs from the master cylinder and splits off the each caliper

My bike does have ABS. According to the picture you provided, it shows the line from M/C to ABS controller as one piece. But Magnum sell them as a two piece setup, Upper and Mid . I wonder why.

Because everyone buys 10 inch bars. Then they decide they should have went taller and get 12s. Then they realize 14 is where it's at. You only have to replace the upper line then. And the lower line comes out by the triple tree. So you don't have to take the tank off when switching to new taller bars.

I can undestand that, but why would magnum "require" everyone to change the mid line if it is already there, then one would just need to replace the upper and lower.

Harley uses a one piece line from the master cylinder to the ABS unit. Magnium uses a two piece set up. As was mentioned earlier the mid line stays the same and the upper line gets longer or shorter depending on your needs

Look at #15 in the microfiche link above. Harley uses a one piece set up.

I have Magnium lines on 3 bikes. Two 06 Non-ABS bikes with the one piece front upper line and one ABS bike with the two piece upper. Magnium makes a good quality product. FYI I used their +8 for the 14" WO apes on two of those bikes if that helps any.

In answer to your original question. If you order the front lower line set from Magnium Shielding it has the union and mounts directly to the stock mount location
