Default Going back into trans

After being in the trans on my 2010 ultra twice last year once for bearings one once for a leak I have decided since it's the end of February I'm going back in I have a noise I've been chasing and I think it's a bad bearing so I'm going back in and changing every bearing that I can get too, main trans bearing is one that I have no choice decades when you remove the output shaft you destroy the main bearing in the process. The last time I missed the output shaft needless so in doing those as I suspect that's my problem but I'm going to do the counter shaft bearing and maybe the trap door bearings. Only want to go in there one more time. This time of year I can't take the time to do them all if I can. Rather than trying to hurry to get back in the wind.

That countershaft bearing was a huge PITA! DO NOT TRY TO PUNCH IT OUT FROM INSIDE TO OUT by using the closed portion of the bearing, it will just go straight through it. The needle bearings inside the transmission drive gear needed the use of a press and just pressed straight out.

I used a Jim's rebuild kit for mine as it includes EVERYTHING, and also upgraded to the Jims trapdoor, think it was from DirectCycleParts. The Jim's trapdoor uses larger bearings than oem, hoping that it is a solid upgrade over stock. Used the Baker smooth shift kit and they have the new main drive tapered bearing upgrade along with a modified transmission drive gear available now.

Thanks I will look into that. I understand the use of a 15/16 socket will work going from the outside in. What worries me is will that alter the fitment of the new bearing it looks like the whole bearing can go either way. What would keep it from walking out of the case
