just picked up a '16 street glide. I as able to put some miles on today and as a bit surprised. The wind beating my face was as bad or worse than riding my Dyna w no fairing..anyone else experience this?
Yeah I want it to look good but sheesh...I bought the SG for trips and comfort in crappy weather. For wind and fun I kept my Dyna. I'll look into different shields

It's a comfortable bike. Just need to tweak it to fit you that's all. I had a seat on my SG that dropped me a bit so the stock one worked. I'm 5'10". I loved my 08 SG. Until I rode a RG. Lol.
That SG is everything you thought it would be. But one size does not fit all. Start with a windshield. Then maybe a seat that drops you and moves you back a bit. That seat in my signature is one comfortable seat. Now I'm so behind me shield I feel no air at all.
You'll get it dialed in.
Go to your dealer first. You can try the different options without buyin .
Do a little research on selecting the right windshield height. The difference will be night and day. I think the idea is for the top of the windshield to be at eye level. But, that may vary with curved style windshields.
I ordered a Long Ride Shield Ultra Recurve windshield last week. They have good prices now. I have a stock windshield on my Ultra that is about 12-13" tall. I ordered an 8" windshield. I think they look good, I'm hoping they perform just as well.
