I've got a 2013 FLTRX that I put newer, rushmore style bags on. I want to run the Electra Glo saddlebag tail lights on them so I bought a set and hooked them up. Harley lists the fit on these for the rushmore bikes only but I suspected that it was because of the bag change, not a wiring issue. Well, after hooking them up and mounting them they aren't working. The stock tail lights and brake lights work fine, just nothing on the new lights. The new lights connect through a Y-cable at the tali light connection. Do any of you know if there was a tail light wiring position change from 2013 to 2014 that is causing this?

 

for the older models ( well, my 09)- my wiring is to the ACC plug under the seat just in front of the battery.

2014 debuted the CANBUS wiring protocol on the touring bikes- which is a whole different animal

Well the wiring connector itself is the same. I'm wondering if it's module that the LED's are connected through that it causing the issue. Any idea if the LED's can just be wired directly instead of going through this module?
