Default Can 2014 & Newer Bags Be Made to Fit 2013 & Older?

I'd like replace my 2009 bags with a newer set from 2014 or newer since there are many for sale. But don't know if it can be done. I've heard both ways on this. Some say a simple mod is needed. Others say no way. Anybody know for sure?

I'd like to see that as well. Or if there's someone who has actually done it, I'd like know what they did and how much trouble it was.

No mod to the bracket you just need to adjust it . We did it in the show room the day the Rushmores came out.
Note the Rushmore design hold a little less. It is a tiny amount but the lid design does cut it down a bit.

They seem wider to me, like they will actually hold more

So what actually is the adjustment you have to make? Is it the mount points, do you need a bracket or just have to bend the stock ones to line up the holes?
