^ That. J&S probably buys the bottlejacks from China by the container-load-they're almost throwaways.
I have 3 J&S Jacks, and over the years I've had 3 leaky bottlejacks. In every case, J&S replaced the bottlejack without charge, in one case sending the replacement overnight (must have cost them $75+). Their customer service and the jacks themselves can't be beat.

Have one fail with a critical load on it sometime and all of a sudden that US price tag doesn't look so bad. Some stuff you just don't cheap out on.
