I had almost 50k on my 09 before an suv took us out. I had very few issues with it.

I have an '07, my buddy an ,09. Both are great as mentioned , '09 has a larger fuel tank, throttle by wire , ABS, Bembo's. No major issues except cooling, throttle At 20k. Problem solved .

Which is the better color, ride in your mind?

 

Either bikes is fine.. I like the 02s since they still had timkens but can have issues with chain tensioners.. Some of it may depend on how much power you want / cost. 09 can be build bigger and has a 6 speed. On RKs, IMO, the early models handle better than the lates with suspension upgrades. For batwings and Boston whalers, the 09 chassis is more stable.. If you simply want a bike to ride, got for the 09. If you want one you can build up, go for the 02.
