Either a 2001 Electra Glide Classic (Blue Color) 24000mi...very clean asking $13,000 or 2002 Road King Classic (Pearl White) mint cond. 14000mi asking $13,400. I just can't make up my mind...I love the white roadking, but am wondering if I should go up to the Electra Glide. I dont' do too much double up riding or long tours. Are Electra Glides any different in handling as compared to RoadKing? Thanks for your opinions.

 

I like the EGC only because of the batwing fairing (with sound sytem) and the tour pak.

IMHO the RKC is the best looking touring bike you can get.

See if you can negotiate a lower price on the EGC and do the usual inspection/maintenance history/etc.prior to purchase

 

Will they let you ride the bikes? That is the best way for you to compare how the handle / feel.

If you don't mind not having a radio, go with the Road King. Road Kings are very nice looking bikes.

 

The EGC witth the tour pack cant be beat!!! Im biased though.Road kings do look nice.

 

Have yet to see a white bike that I liked.

 

The RKC is a great looking bike. The wire wheels have tubed tires. Now that I have had a Road King and now my Ultra CLassic I sure like having all of the room of the Ultra. I really like having the radio bike difference. There are times I miss the simplicity of the Road King. Ride them both

I love my Road King but I'm looking at $1,500.00 toadd a fairing.

 

I like the looks of the Road King Classic over the Electra Glide. Just my opinion, everybody likes something different .You need to choose what what YOU like.

10k milage difference. Price is about the same. Which color do you prefer? Personally, I hate anything blue. Bike, shirt, anything. But that is me. The handling isn't all that different. Fairing is nice, but at some point you could always add one. Rk is an '02, and you said 'mint'. Seems to me you are leaning more toward the king. Just by your wording. Personally, I feel the rk is a better bike. Only in the fact that you can have one bike, but have the option to have many different looks. You didn't say how tall you are. Would seem not to matter, but it did to me. I knew I wanted to add apes to my bike, to get a better feel (I am 6'1"). I love it. And with the EG, you could add apes, but not many look as nice with them as a rk. Radio on the EG is cool. But you could add one to the rk, also.

AH heck with it... Get the road king.
