Default TTS Cams

Be careful if you buy tts cams. I've got the 150s in my 09 ultra classic. I added a 2-1 thunder header on my bike last week and then took it to the local shop to have a new map put into the power Commander V.
The shop called TTS to get the specs on the cams and they will not give them out. Just the generic description on the web site is all you get. So now instead of an hour labor to load a new map I have to take the bike in to have it dyno tuned. It's better to have it dynoed, I know but I wanted a cheap alternative at first till I could save up for a dyno run.
Quick Performance in San Antonio told me also to get rid if the power Commander V and go with a power vision as the PCV's are crapping out after a while. Anybody else heard that? I've got 20k on mine with no problems.
I wish I'd have installed Woods cams like a bunch of other folks did. Could've saved myself a bunch of trouble in the long run.
The original tune was done by a local shop that guessed at what the cams were. They got it pretty close without a dyno but I want it right this time. So a power vision license and a bit of dyno time is going to run me roughly $500. Not too bad I guess but it would've been nice if TTS had cooperated.

Seems kind of silly to me, when any mechanic with the cams, graph paper, calipers and an hour to waste should be able to figure it out. They seem like a company that's time has passed. They used to be top dog, but the market has passed them by with easier solutions.

I think your right, one of my indy's only uses Mastertune and he is a dyno artist. However, I think the technology has turned to operator/user friendly, Powervision, FP3 and the likes. Seems like Mastertune does not want to get on the boat with the others.

Companies like FM have their PV2 programs dialed in tight with dyno proven results. With their Target Tune solutions you can get the same end results much easier, with better customer service, IMO.

I would call Fuelmoto and tell them your sob story..they are good guys
and will probably have a map that they can email you that will
get you within a horse or 2 of perfect (and probably for free if you are nice to them)
...also whoever sold you the
PCV should be able to set you up with a map...

I have a 5 year old PC-V that I bought from Fuel Moto along with their Stage 1 set up. Maps were pre-loaded and have had zero problems.

Last Spring I installed Wood cams and sent Fuel Moto a request for a new map. They provided me with a dyno tuned map from a 2010 96" with my exact combo. Bike ran great, a tad rich (safe) so they made a few tweaks and all good.

I'm still running my PCV after 8 years as well.
I picked up another one to have for that "just in case."
However not one glitch on the original one so decided to sell the extra one that I have.
I think that these shops want you to upgrade your tuner.
Is there better units than the PC-V? Sure there is, but if your's is working well
why would you want to? You can use the extra $$$$ for something else for the bike.

No one sells a magic stick. They are all within reason. Probably for the best. A Dyno tune will yield more power. Up to the tuner. But my bike was night and day.

This entire tuner issue makes my head spin. I had a FP3 on my 07 FXD and it was GREAT, traded it in and the 07 Ultra I bought has a 2016 SE110 and a TTS , well, dealer had it for 5 hours, on the Dyno and the low end torque sucks, now they tell me the motor has a Woods 555 or 777, they are trying to contact the prior owner to figure it out. Goes back next week and apparently Steve at TTS is going to help them get it right. Kind of a pain but if TTs gets it right it will be worth it. To expensive to go back so I am stuck.
