I posted in the audio as well. Hopefully somebody will have some ideas to give. Looking to add speakers to my saddlebags. Need ideas for lids/speakers. 2014 FLHTCU, aquatics HU (300 watt built in amp, 2/4 ohm capabilities). I'm running kickers 5.25" front speakers 2ohm (marine grade). Was thinking about keeping it all marine grade, but it would depend upon what ideas people had. Need a decent set of lids without breaking the bank and of course some fair quality speakers. I've already learned that just because a speaker says it's a 5x7 or 6x9 doesnt mean the mounting points are compatible with the lids. I'm not looking to drop a grand, but I understand that it's likely going to be around 4-5 hundred pretty easily. It seems everybody I talk to just says dump the 2-3k into a whole system, but dont have that kind of money. So some good ideas if you have any are really appreciated.

 

I went with the Harley lids and Boom Audio speakers. I've the the Aquatic AV HU as well but not running an amp. Very happy with the sound. I know that Boom Audio isn't the greatest but they work well for me. I'm sure you can find better speakers than the Boom Audio the will fit them as well.

I think the Harley color matched lids look and fit better than the aftermarket ones.
