Default Electra Glo

Installed the Electra Glo saddle bag light on my 17 Limited last season. Never noticed until it was brought to my attention today if I hit the brake while the directional is on the light goes solid (no longer blinking. Anyone know if this is normal or defective?

I just looked at mine. The EG lights stay blinking when the brakes are applied.

I don't know if that indicates a problem, or if something's been changed between mine and yours though.

Thanks. Wonder if it a flash issue. I will check with the dealer.

I have installed Electra Glo Saddlebag run/brake/stop lights, and followed the instructions 3
years ago never had a problem.

I checked all the connections. Really can't do it wrong. There is only one way to plug them in. Guess they are defective.

I seem to recall a similar problem on my 2014. Can't remember the specifics, but had the wrong model. They made three different ones. (Six if you count the smoked ones) I of course grabbed the wrong one. I believe they made ones for the Street Glide/Ultra, Road Glide and CVO, why they would be different, don't know! Since they were already installed, the dealer let me just swap out the module. Maybe this could be your problem? Good luck! John

OK. Problem solved. Had to be flashed to recognize the new lights. Must have been acting this way since I installed them last year. Can't say enough about the service at American Harley Davidson in Leominster, MA Stopped in today, explained the issue to service. They brought it right in and took care of it in 5 minutes. Lesson learned, need to flash the BCM when adding electronic accessories.

Thanks to all that responded.

Glad you got it worked out. However, I did not have to get a dealer flash when I installed mine.

No flash needed on my '14 or '16, just saying. Glad you got it fixed!
