It will clunk on shut down as well as starting of bad. The clutch basket splines could also be affected by the compensator going bad. Check with the dealership to see if it was replaced. My 09 went through 2 with the 3rd being the newest version and it always started with vibration in the floor boards. Just my guess??????

There is also a slim chance it could be the inner primary bearing. If you stop in gear as most of us do, the transmission side of the clutch is not spinning. Put the transmission in neutral and let out the clutch lever. If there is a noticeable change in noise level (increase) the inner primary bearing is damaged. My machine also made a very noticeable "groan" at shutdown.

The more I ride my bike I noticed it is not at cruising speed but at acceleration between 2500-3000 rpm. I have another theory. The bike has the passenger footpegs that can be flipped front to back and when at rest the one metal piece sits on another metal piece. Gonna have to get my wife on the back to see if these are the cause of the vibration.
