Code 32 Road King
Wow, what a deal. Started off with what seemed like a simple fix and turned into a f*mess. My bike is a 98 Road King Classic with fuel injection. Started it up last week to go for a ride and smelled gass. On closer inspection I found front check valve leaking. I read every post and thread I could find and decided to change to goodridge lines. Emptied tank and flushed with soap and water. Some yellow stuff in bottom of tank. Seemed to drain out after flushing twice. Fuel pump is coming on and everything seemed normal. Put lid back on and cranked her up and she would not idle after installing o ring and stopping leak. Also, checked code and it is only showing code 32 if I am reading code from manual correctly. Will not accelerate when throttle applied and wants to choke out and sometimes seems to spit and cough.
It appears I have an old vance and himes fuelpak with three little bulbs marked idle, high and mid. I thought about disconnecting v&h and re-connecting original setup but can't find stock plug. Should not be far away lol !,
Not sure how to address original issue
I guess I will replace everything inside tank if I can get that old assembly to clear lid and go from there. Install new lines and try to clean injectors. After, I should not even be on a Harley at my age little own try to fix anything but I just can't help myself,
I sure could use suggestions ??
Thanks guys for any input,
