I recently bought a 1995 ultaglide. The guy I bought it off of had it running for me but it took some effort to do so. Now I got it home I found out I don't have any spark. I ordered a new coil. Now I found out I'm not getting fuel. Does antone know what the reason could be? The guy I bought it off of was the 1st and only owner, it only has 30,000 miles and was taken care of but sat for a year. He put seafoam in the tank and oil. After I try the coil, what should I do to get the gas flowing? Is it just blocked up from sitting? Thanks for reading and your suggestions are very appreciated. I'm new at this...ty.
If you have a CV carb your fuel petcock is vacuum operated. Check to see if you have a vacuum line attached to the petcock and apply vacuum and see if fuel flows. This might be your issue if you have a cracked line not allowing any vacuum allowing the valve to open.
1 year with seafoam, I wouldn't think would be a big deal. Lot of stuff sits 6-8 months without it. At some point I would pull the carb and clean it if it doesn't go. If you got spark, then you need fuel.
I would also dump all the gas and just start fresh.
