Default 2008 R/G windshield trim....

Is this windshield trim available in black ..??
I am wanting to paint it the color of my bike....the chrome version doesn't blend in well,
so a black one can / would be painted pewter pearl ...and once again the world would be round !!!

Is this offered by mother H/D or is it produced by another vendor ??
Thanks for the first glimmer of hope.
These damn bikes are always 'needing' something new / different'.......

YBN,

"IF" and When I decide to upgrade to a new windscreen trim piece, I would plan on getting this one posted below from Custom Dymanics. A it pricey, but they make excellent products.
Bonus, they have running and blinker LED lights build in to scare kids texting in their cars as you navigate through the concrete jungle.

if you're referencing the hd trim, i've heard nothing good and all bad about it. everything from how much of a pita it is to install to once you install it, you better leave it on because it scratches your paint underneath.

i agree with yb, the custom dynamics one looks to be a better option for those of us with the 'old' fairings.

I have the chrome HD one, and it's not that bad to take off and put back on....
I'd like to have that same one, but want it color matched....that's why
I thought a black one could be repainted to match the pewter pearl of my bike.
hmmmmmmmpppphhhh...gotta think more harder, may require a beer before 10AM !!!
Thanks

Pretty sure the one I had was HD, came on it when I bought the bike used. But if OP already has a chrome one it could be sand blasted then painted. I have done that to parts that I had painted to match on my Road King. Just have to make sure all of the chrome is off or paint won't stick.
