Here's both side by side and as stated I don't recognize a great difference in comfort, both are great.

This sounds like an interrogation rather than a discussion, jus kiddin. The cup holder is the Ciro 3D ring style with bar mount. Right side is a Slipgrip phone mount on a RAM ball. Above it is a radar detector to find guys like you, before they find me.

I am actually in the same boat. However, I want 12" bars I am looking at the wo582B's or something similar and was wondering if I had to change cables/brake lines. I recently purchased a 2012 road king (just FLHR) and it still has stock bars on it and I hate that fact other than that the bike is amazing and rides even better. Had the bike for a month and have done two 450+ mile rides and it destroys my back. Took my buddies 01 road king for a a long ride to see how I felt with 12" apes and my back was great. I am very green with installing this type of stuff and really don't want to pay the ridiculous prices to have bars done that it costs up here in New York. So looking to see if I can get away with 12's without having to extend lines/cables.

Hey Paul, I know Klock Werks has what they call the Ergo Bars and they said that up to 12" on the Ergo bars you can use all your stock cables wires and brake lines! They have different bars like the Ergo Back bars, the Up Bars and one other which are the same has th stock bars on the hd"s. My wish list has the Ergo up bars or Back bars!

I'm 5'10" and I've got the 10" Wild 1's on my Ultra. They're very comfortable for me with plenty of pullback left. Also, the 10" height keeps my hands behind the fairing.

Those bars appear to be layed back a good bit looking at the distance between the inner fairing and bars. I’m not sure that would result in hand position that would be comfortable for me .....

Due to the shape of the bars, I have mine pushed tight to the inner fairing and they are still back towards me. Yes, I could pull them back more, but have no need. I suspect smitty's are pretty tight to the fairing also.....

I put these on my street glide after having Yaffee Monkey bars and could't be happier. No more pain between the shoulders and made slow speed maneuvers much easier.
