Got the True Track installed today and took the bike out for a spin... Wow it’s locked in tight! Harley would have been wise to add this link along with the other 09 upgrades. I got a couple sweepers I can’t wait to hit you n my way to work tomorrow.

Has anyone tried one of these? Its called Smooth Rider Stabilizer.

The True-Trac and Touring Link, to mention two of them, allow for movement. The link is tied in via heim joints (spherical joints), allowing both some vertical movement and some longitudinal movement (only a slight amount). Side to side movement is virtually impossible. The amount of movement allowed really does minimize vibration transfer. Additional vibration is so negligible as to be imperceptible to this rider.

After riding to work in back all I can say is “WOW”

New Bike... Stays straight and is rock solid in triple digits. Keeping giving it more on sweepers and it stayed planted with 0 issues. I was adding 10-20 mph on turns that gave me issues and it just effortlessly leaned into them no bad vibes.

Bike is just flat out fun to ride now! Best add on to date! The added power from performance upgrades meant nothing until now. Harley would have been smart to add the missing link!

I've had one on my 1990 Glide for over ten years now and no change in vibration here either. Having ridden with it for a while I deliberately took off the link, just to see of my first impressions were right - soon put it back on again!

I don't blame you! Many nay sayers will tell you it only masks a bigger problem. Swingarm bushings yadda yadda yadda. WHO CARES! When the bigger problem manifests itself, then deal with it. Until then, you have a stable, great handling bike that won't buck you off in the sweepers. Makes the bike safer and way more fun to ride. I've not heard of a single bad experience on either the TruTrack or the Touring link. Of all of the non-believers out there, I'd like to hear about one bad experience where proper installation and setup made the bike worse in some way.

If you experience it, many times the bigger problems have manifested themselves, and it doesnt make sense to band-aid over things that need repair. Doesnt mean you wouldnt also install a True Track, but I would be damn sure that the underlying stuff is right before I go stapling crap on.

My point exactly. In the case of '09 and earlier touring frames it addresses a major design shortcoming. In '10 to '13 anyway it aids in stability. If your swingarm is flopping around then the TrueTrack is unlikely to mask the problem. It might make it rideable, but one would certainly still know something isn't right. In this instance I was speaking directly to these stabilizing devices and nothing more or less than that.
