Default Electrical problem

I have 2001 ultra classic. I made mistake and left the switch in the on position.caught it in time battery didn't die but when I went to ride it the all the electrical went out and bike shut down. 10 seconds later the power came back started up fine but continue to do this. I shut it off and two hours or so I went back to it and nothing. That was 4 months ago had no problems till yesterday did it again. I forgot to turn it off and it did the same thing. Does anyone have any ideas on why it does it if so thanks.

You should test your battery, I bet it's toast.

Are you telling us that you've done this twice - left the electrics on and killed the battery? Turn the poor thing off properly in future! Take your battery off the bike and recharge it, using a proper charger, not a trickle type. Get it load tested, which will identify if it is OK or you need a replacement.

It sounds like your circuit breaker is going bad. I think there was a recall on them around your model year.
