Default J&S Jacks

Looking to buy one, is it worth it to get the oil pan and T handle kit or just get the jack alone? And does anyone have a discount code I can save some cash?

Not sure about the oil pan, but the t-handle makes for moving the bike around easier. They should have a sale now for Prez Day, and they always give discounts for Vets.

Call J&S and they'll do the discount during purchase.

Mine is from 2010 and still going strong...original hydro jack too. Went w/jack & oil pan b'c it will run everywhere (trust me). Good purchase - you'll be pleased!

I didn’t get the T handle or the oil pan at first. I did latter and wonder how I got by without them.

The handle makes moving and spinning the bike around much easier. If your someone like me that rides the bike into the garage, jacks it up and spins it around so you can ride it back out, you will love the T handle.

I use the oil pan to change all 3 holes. When draining the oil, first loosen the dip stick so air can be drawn in as the oil goes out but leave it in to slow the oil flow. If you pull the dipstick all the way out, the oil can come out so fast it overshoots the pan. Once you figure that out, the drain pan is really nice for changing fluids.

To to answer your question, I’d recommend ordering both with the jack. I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Jack is great for working on your bike and J&S is an excellent one. For changing your oil tho... just get a low profile oil drain pan. Harley's branded version is actually very reasonably priced and great quality.

I utilize the T handle and the oil pan with my J&S jack. They both work extremely well. I would purchase both with your jack.

Oil pan and T-bar or not,,, you're sure going to love your new jack. I just got mine a week or two ago, and I have used it a number of times already. It's not even riding season yet.

I have had mine for 12 years. They did not have the oil pan option at that time. It has been a valuable piece of shop equipment.

Had mine for several years now on multiple bikes. Definitely on the T bar, you'll find yourself moving the bike around your garage or work space more than you think. The jack itself should last for a long time provided you use the steel arms that slot into the base of the jack to hold the weight and not the jack itself. the bike is super-stable when lifted too and great for cleaning along with maintenance. You won't regret the purchase!

I’ve gone without the T handle and had no problem moving mine around. I am a younger guy so it isn’t terrible.

But for the money you spend, it would be beneficial to have the T handle and utilize the jack for all it is worth. Including the oil pan.
