Default 2019 Road King Special.

I love my 2018 Road King but the Road King Special looks amazing. I would have to add a windshield and aux lights but love the black out looks.
Anyone have a chance to ride one or consider the Blacked out special?

I went with the regular King instead of the Special for the following reasons:
1. Unlike you, I like chrome. Nothing wrong with the blacked-out look, but I like chrome.
2. The standard King has engine guards front and rear. The first time you drop the bike you'll appreciate that.
3. The standard King has aux. passing lights in the front. I love these. Visibility is life.
4. The standard King comes with a very excellent windshield. Gotta love that.
Anyway, that's why I went with the standard King over the RKS. YMMV.

I agree and will probably just keep my 18 King, I would spend a lot adding the things you mentioned. Aux lights and windshield would be a must.

Do it!

I'd personally actually wait until they come out with a new frame. The monoshock on the Softail is fantastic.

the benefit of the Road King special.... is the MOTOR, and the stretched bags, for us that will not buy the cheap aftermarket chinese ****, blacking out a chromed bike is not expensive $300-$400 of PC and you're there.... for example.... my 2017 was chrome when i bought it..... $275 in some PC and its as black as an 18,,,,,,, minus the valve covers, mine is a stage 4 and ill keep the chrome on the motor... the other is my previous chromed out Road King
