Anyone have any idea why the red security light would come on for no apparent reason? It happened last year on the way to Sturgis so I replaced the fob battery but find it hard to believe the battery is going dead this fast.
Has anyone else dealt with this or have any ideas? Otherwise, everything else is fine & alarm system arms & disarms just fine.

the security light coming on is not a low fob battery warning. it means that there is a diagnostic trouble code stored.
