Default pingel spacer

I am thinking of going with the pingel rear wheel sprocket spacer so I can run an MU85-16. I also see a lot of spacers on the internet; they are cheaper, but there are many thicknesses. Does anyone know the thickness of the pingel spacer?

I just put one on my 2003 Ultra so I could run adunlop 140 rear tireinplace of the 130.
The pingel spacer is about a 1/4 inch. After speakingwith a Pingel Tech, he said the Rear sprocket spacerI needed was #2000-03. So that's what I ordered. I had it put on at the same time the new dunlops were put on. As I said I had the wider tire put on the rear. Couple hundred miles so far so good.
Here's the link that I used: http://www.pingelonline.com/rear_sprocket_spacer.htm

I have an 03 Roadking and have been using the Pingel spacer for about two seasons (around 2 1/2 tires) I really like being able to use the bigger rear tire!

i have worn out 2 MU85s on my 2001 RK without a spacer. What is the need? The only clearance issue i found was the inner belt guard touches but doesn't mark the tire.

I ran an MU85 on my FLHS without a spacer. I did remove the plastic belt guard. There was about an1/8 inch of clearance between the sidewall and the belt so alignment was critical, but for good handling it is also critical.

I didn't want to remove the belt guard on my Road King, and the Pingel Spacer allowed me to have both proper alignment and the belt guard cover. The bigger tire makes a significantdifference in the feel of stability compared with my 130 stock rear tire. I wish this accessory had come out sooner than it did!!
