X2 on Harley kit, did my spousal units 06 FLHTi, NO problems and 100,000 miles later all is well....

I heard back from S&S and they are recommending staying with the original chain saying that a seasoned chain will wear less on the tensioners. He also suggested feeling the chain and using a fine file for any sharp edges.

If you are going to stay with one of the options that retains the OEM cams and link chain(s), that is really good advice......
