How much did you buy your totaled bike back for?
Hi everyone. I just got broadsided last week and I believe my 2011 Ultra is going to be totalled. Fortunately I came out of it virtually unscathed. I just did headwork, cams and pipes last month so I have a lot of money tied up in the bike, as well as sentimental value. How much can I expect to buy it back for? Truthfully, I'm not sure I want to continue riding so I'm not planning on buying another bike but I'd like to keep mine as I think I can repair it cheaply enough.
Salvage title makes it about worthless . When I totaled my 2011. All wanted was my check. Was going over what to order with wife while in the Emergency room.. The only real people you see talking up salvage bikes are those trying to flip them. good luck with it.
I still have one saddle bag hanging on the wall. I have the seat adjust said I could keep them. About all that was really worth saving.

When I hit a deer with my Road King Classic I had Progressive insurance, they totaled the bike and I bought it back (can't remember the price but it was worth it to me) I had enough after the buyback to do a complete customization and kept the original title. Was not redone as salvage. I assume each insurance company is different.

last year, after my 2013 cvo got totaled, i could have bought it back from the ins co. for somewhere in the neighborhood of $3500. at that point, i didn't even want to mess with it anymore. i just took the full payout and got me a new bike.
Each State is different WI : most have requirements some thing like it.

Insurance wanted to hold back way more than I wanted to part with so I took the full payout on my deer vs. Road King incident last summer. I did manage to buy the bike back at insurance auction tho for substantially less than the hold-back amount. Progressive was going to deduct somewhere around $3k for me to keep it and I scored it for less than $2k at auction.
