Angry Installing Fairing Lowers

Hey All, So I was able to get the hardware needed to install the fairing lowers.

Any insight/tricks to installing these without scratching them all up would be greatly appreciated.

I gave it a quick try last night with no success. It was really cold in the garage and the end of the day so I gave up.

Here we go again, Winter Storm #8 in February!!

I feel your pain about the storms!!!IT Sucks this year. As for tips for the lowers, If you are struggling to get them to fit and don't want to scratch them, just use painters tape. Once your happy with the install, take it off. Good luck, and send pics once done!

Just take your time, I've had mine off a few times just to clean around, never had an issue. What are you struggling with?

Mine have to be in the correct position on the bar to fit correctly. Just take your time.

Are these factory lowers?
on my 2010 There is just 2 points of attachment. Behind the removable front cap and the C clip at the bottom opposite your brake pedal.
There’s a bolt accessible through the access door that allows you to remove the front cap.

This dude explains it well enough. I have not installed they yet, but looking at his vid made it look fairly straight forward.

As mentioned, take your time. Lining up the holes for the bolts on the cap and fairing was a struggle for me. My better half helps sometimes to apply some pressure so the bolts go through enough for the nuts to catch.

It was a 3-beer job for me at first, but got easier. The detach hardware makes it easier.
